Enrichment that sticks

From yearbooks and garden beds to SPARK workshops and Care Closet shelves — these are the standing programs families lean on all year.

The Garden

Wildcat Mountain’s garden is among the largest in the district — vegetable beds, grape vines, a corn patch, compost areas, and a sunflower house students love.

Kids plant, tend, and harvest with volunteer help. Garden Work Days always need extra hands, green thumb optional.

Want to help with clean-up, class projects, or planning? Email ptowme@gmail.com or reach Garden leads Pat Shaffer and Samara Selden via the directory.

SPARK

SPARK turns a regular school day into a workshop festival. Parents and community members lead short sessions — art, STEM, sports, yoga, service, and whatever passion you’re willing to share.

Fri Sept 18 (done) December · TBD March · TBD May · TBD
  • No teaching credential needed — enthusiasm counts.
  • Helpers (not just session leads) are welcome; sign-ups go out before each SPARK day.
  • Contacts: Pat Shaffer · Samara Selden

Care Closet

A quiet safety net: non-perishable food, toiletries, and everyday essentials for students and families. Needs shift, so check the current SignUpGenius shared by the PTO.

  • Drop donations at the school office for delivery to Misty Buhler.
  • Coordinator: Kelsey Cochrane (see directory).
